Dubai Airports Scale Up Operations as UAE Airspace Reopens

Dubai Airports has begun scaling up operations and increasing flight movements following the full reopening of UAE airspace, marking a significant step toward normalizing aviation activity across the region.

According to a report by Khaleej Times, the airport operator said it is “moving decisively to scale up operations”, with flight movements rising in line with available regional routing capacity.

The development comes after the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that air traffic has returned to normal, following the lifting of precautionary restrictions that had been in place since late February amid regional tensions.

Dubai Airports has now entered a new phase of recovery, focusing on supporting airlines as they progressively restore schedules and rebuild connectivity. The increase in flight operations is expected to improve travel flow, enhance passenger experience, and stabilize global transit routes through Dubai — one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs.

The reopening of airspace and scaling of operations signal renewed confidence in the region’s aviation sector, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a key global gateway for travel, trade, and investment.
